Find the work your team shouldn't be doing by hand.
I spend one to two weeks with your team, find where AI and automation can give time back, and hand you a ranked, priced plan. Then I build the first fix.
- Fixed price
- One to two weeks
- Works with the tools you already use
What repeated paperwork costs you
Starting numbers are an example, so replace them with yours. Recovered hours turn into cash only if people move to other work, overtime falls, or you avoid a hire.
Where the hours go
Good people spend hours every week reading emails, copying data between systems, chasing approvals, and rebuilding the same reports.
That work is expensive, slow, and easy to get wrong. It rarely needs a new system. It needs a better workflow.
How an assessment works
A fixed price, one to two weeks, and no software to replace.
-
Map
I interview your team and watch real work, so we see how things actually get done, not how the process chart says they do.
-
Rank
I score each opportunity by hours saved, dollars, and how easy it is to build, using your own numbers.
-
Prove
You get a working prototype of the top idea, a 90-day roadmap, and a fixed-price proposal for each project.
Smaller team, or one clear problem? Start with one workflow.
The one-workflow assessment looks at a single process, such as invoices, quotes, or scheduling. You get the numbers, a working demo of the fix, and a clear next step, usually in about a week.
Ask about the one-workflow assessmentWhat you get
- A process and pain-point map
- Five to ten ranked opportunities, each with a return on investment built from your numbers
- One working prototype, built on sample data
- An honest call on each item: build it, turn on something you already own, fix the process first, or leave it alone
| Opportunity | Hours per year | Annual labor cost | My call |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vendor invoice intake and matching | 1,800 | $68,400 | Build it |
| Technician job notes to billing close-out | 1,680 | $70,560 | Build it |
| Overdue-invoice reminders | 300 | $11,400 | Turn on what you own |
| New-hire paperwork | 120 | $4,200 | Leave it alone |

Who this is for
Owner-run and growing businesses, from a small crew to a few hundred people, especially contractors, distributors, staffing and professional-services firms, and sales-led software companies.
If your team spends real time moving information between email, spreadsheets, and software, this is worth a conversation.

About
1702 Labs makes automation practical for businesses without an IT department. We find the work worth automating, prove it works, and give your people their time back for the work that needs them.
-
Honest numbers
Every recommendation comes with the math and the assumptions behind it, and sometimes the answer is "don't automate this."
-
Your tools first
We start with the software you already use before suggesting anything new.
-
People stay in charge
Automation handles the repetitive work. Your team handles judgment, exceptions, and decisions.

Questions
Do we have to replace our software?
No. The goal is to make the tools you already use work harder. Sometimes the answer is a setting you already pay for.
What happens to our data?
I use redacted or sample data for the assessment, never ask for live credentials, and send a one-page data-handling note before we start.
How much does it cost?
Assessments are fixed-price. A full assessment covers several workflows across your team, and a smaller one-workflow assessment covers a single process. Book a conversation and I will scope the right one, including what is and is not included.
What if the answer is "don't automate this"?
Then I will say so. That is part of the job, and it is why you can trust the items I do recommend.
